Fiber Laser Marking
Fiber Laser Marking is the most flexible type of direct marking available. The ability to change various laser parameters offers the ultimate in control, quality and speed.
Miyachi Europe offers three different types of Fiber Laser Marking:
-
Fiber Laser Annealing
Fiber Laser annealing creates a permament mark induced by heat without removing or compromising the material. Annealing is used with all metals containing carbon which shows a color change when exposed to heat, especially stainless steel.
The annealing process offers significant advantages when marking already finished surfaces. The marking speed is slower compared to engraving because annealing relies solely on thermal effects of bringing the carbon in the steel to the surface.
-
Fiber Laser Engraving
Fiber Laser Engraving is technology based on the same procedural principle, laser-induced ablation through melting and/or evaporation of the substrate. Engraving is a method used to create a durable, direct mark that is forgery-proof and resistant to wear and corrosion.
By laser engraving, 2D OR 3D dimensional structures can be formed in injection- or forming molds.
-
Fiber Laser Ablation / Surface Removal
This process is typically used to remove paint, coatings and other surface material to create contrast without damaging the base material. Common applications are automotive dash boards and aircraft displays. Applications include backlit buttons, anodized aluminum and painted surfaces.
Fiber Laser Marking Applications
The ability to process a wide range of applications makes fiber lasers a preferred choice for many industrial processing applications.
Fiber Laser Marking can be achieved on almost all materials and is used on medical tools, PCB's, mobile phones, solar cells, semiconductors, etc.
Our proven technologies enable the Automotive, Electronics & Solar Cells, IT & Multimedia, Medical, Aerospace and Defence industries to use our fiber laser marking products on a variety of applications.
