The Janome Selective Compliance Assembly Robotic Arm or SCARA is the answer to assembly line automation. Flexibility of the Janome SCARA allows implementation on fully automated assembly lines or operator controlled work cells. Networking capabilities allow multiple SCARA robots to be controlled from a central factory information system. The SCARA robot’s internal sequencer allows programmable control of external equipment or conveyors. Vision offset capabilities allow the Janome SCARA to adapt to part placement variations.

The rigid JS series robot arm uses a JANOME proprietary bearing configuration coupled with high-power AC servo motors to achieve it’s very high movement speeds and high level accuracy.
Double shaft assembly technology, separates the R and X-axis movements from each other allows for stable accurate movement. The system boasts 37 inputs and 40 outputs, along with 3 RS232 ports allow for a variety of configurations. It also features the ability to control a variety of external equipment or communicate with complex PLCs when integrated into automation.

JR-C Points® software is an enhanced version of the JR Points® software. This package enables users to easily handle complicated robot languages including variable function and formulas. JR-C Points allows for customisation of robot functions and user-defined point types, making the Janome SCARA systems among the most flexible robotic systems available today.
